What is the mobile app for?
The mobile app is not just a small copy of the web app. Its value is fast guest actions, camera/photo library access for Memories, and on-site notification tracking for organizers.
Recommended mobile usage sequence
- Sign in or open an invitation link. New members complete sign-up with the e-mail code. Organizers sign in; guests can open RSVP or Memories links directly.
- Review notification permissions. Push is useful for organizers and teams.
- Complete RSVP. Attendance and plus-one data affect seating.
- Pick a seat if self-seating is enabled. Direct mode applies immediately; approval mode waits for organizer review.
- Open the Memories QR link. Verify full name with email or phone, then upload photos, track your uploads and view the gallery.
- Give consent if using Find Me. Explicit consent is required before selfie upload and can be revoked.
- Leave feedback or a review after the event. Feedback helps organizers measure the experience.
What are guest flows for?
| Flow | Purpose | How to proceed |
|---|---|---|
| RSVP | Tells the organizer attendance and plus-one status. | Complete it as soon as you receive the invite. |
| Self-seat | Lets guests pick an available seat. | Use it once the plan is available. |
| Memories | Collects event photos in one QR album. | Verify full name with email or phone, then upload photos, track your uploads, view approved photos, share photos or request removal. |
| My Uploads | Shows the status of your own uploads. | Check pending, approved or rejected states. |
| Find Me | Finds approved photos you appear in using a selfie. | Verify identity, consent, upload a selfie, then open or share matched photos. |
| Guest Book and comments | Adds written memories to the event. | Keep messages short, respectful and relevant. |
| Feedback | Measures event experience with rating, NPS and comments. | Best after the event. |
| Venue Review | Reviews the venue experience. | Write based on real experience. |
Mobile photo upload and selfie recognition flow
The mobile app is the primary guest experience for this feature. Guests open the QR code, verify full name with email or phone, upload photos, track status in My Uploads, and start Find Me when they want selfie recognition to find the photos they appear in.
- Open the QR link and verify identity. Scan the event QR code or tap the Memories link from the organizer. Full name plus email or phone verification is required before interactions; signed-in FeastPlan users can use their account identity without a second QR code. The native screen opens when the app is installed, otherwise the web fallback works.
- Choose or take photos. Use photo library permission to select existing photos or camera permission to take new ones. Upload progress, retry and error states should be visible.
- Track My Uploads. Your uploaded photos show pending, approved or rejected states. With moderation enabled, photos may not appear in the public gallery immediately.
- Open photos safely. When you open an approved photo, use the share action to send the photo link or submit a removal request for organizer review.
- Consent to Find Me. Selfie recognition includes face matching, so explicit consent is required. A selfie must not be uploaded before consent and consent must be revocable.
- Upload a selfie. The selfie is not published in the public gallery. It is processed in the private Rekognition bucket and the device should not store selfies, face ids or raw match data.
- Open or share matched photos. When the search completes, only matched approved event photos are shown. Guests can open and share the photos they appear in.
